PRESS RELEASE: AI patent pioneer Lightbringer lands in Cambridge after €4.2M raise
Dominic Davies, CEO & Co-founder of Lightbringer.
Swedish legal tech company Lightbringer is accelerating its mission to revolutionise patent protection on a global scale. Backed by a €4.2 million funding round led by Luminar Ventures and Alliance VC, the company is now setting its sights on international expansion - starting with Cambridge, UK, one of the worldʼs most dynamic hubs for innovation.
“Cambridge is a natural choice for us. Itʼs a global epicenter of innovation, boasting the highest patent application rate in the UK,ˮ says Dominic Davies, founder and CEO of Lightbringer. “Weʼve spent the last few months on the ground here, and weʼre blown away by the potential and the people we have met.ˮ
To mark this milestone, Lightbringer will co-host an event, “The AI Patent Revolutionˮ, in partnership with Innovate UK and Cambridge Network at the Bradfield Centre on April 3rd.
Lightbringerʼs platform acts as a virtual IP department, leveraging advanced AI to help tech companies refine ideas, build strategies, and analyse both their own and competitorsʼ patents. It also streamlines the patent application process, combining automation with expert patent attorney oversight to ensure legal quality and compliance.
“Our platform democratises access to strong patent protection. It empowers startups and scale-ups to build patent portfolios that were once only feasible for large corporations with deep pockets,ˮ Davies continues. “The AI Patent Revolution is here and itʼs great news for tech companies.ˮ
Lightbringer already counts several UK-based companies among its customers. With strong investor backing and growing international demand, the company is poised to reshape how businesses around the world protect their innovations.
