Business Development Representative - New Nordics
This isn't your typical BDR role. We're looking for a dynamic, "old-school" networker and relationship builder to be a key part of our global expansion, with a primary focus on the New Nordics tech scene. You'll generate qualified opportunities through active networking, direct outreach, and identifying strategic partnerships. If you thrive in an early-stage startup environment, enjoy autonomy, and are excited by the prospect of building our presence from the ground up, this could be a fantastic fit. Expect to be on the move, traveling to events to represent Lightbringer.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Partnership & Ecosystem Activation
Organize and deliver activation activities, such as workshops and seminars (we have 1 and 2-hour formats ready), to generate leads and educate potential partners and their networks about Lightbringer.
Act as the initial point of contact, qualifying opportunities generated through partners before handing them off to an Account Executive.
Meticulously track and manage opportunities originating from partnership activities.
Lead Generation at Industry & Networking Events
Identify and scout relevant 3rd party industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities in your territory.
Attend events with the primary goal of identifying and qualifying leads for Lightbringer.
Effectively follow up on event leads to book discovery meetings for our Account Executives.
When Lightbringer has a booth, you'll be involved in setting up and representing us, engaging with attendees.
Maintain a record of event quality and ROI to help us refine our event strategy.
Lightbringer-Hosted Events
Qualify and convert leads attending our own virtual and in person events in the Nordics (possibly further afield!)
Direct Outreach & Qualification
Employ traditional business development techniques, including phone calls and in-person networking, to connect with potential direct sales opportunities.
Qualify leads based on our Ideal Customer Profile (typically tech startups and SMEs with current or planned patent activity).
WHO YOU ARE:
A natural networker who genuinely enjoys building relationships and connecting with people, especially within the tech and startup community.
Proven experience in a BDR or field sales role, with a knack for opening doors and generating qualified leads, ideally within the SaaS or tech space.
A "builder" and "pioneer" at heart – you're comfortable with ambiguity, take initiative, and are excited by the challenge of establishing a presence in a new market for an early-stage company.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; you can articulate a value proposition clearly and compellingly.
Organized and self-motivated, with the ability to manage your time effectively and operate with a degree of autonomy.
Willingness and ability to travel (for events).
You understand that sometimes the best opportunities come from face-to-face interactions and picking up the phone, not just email sequences.
Bonus points if you have familiarity with deeptech ecosystem or experience working with startups/SMEs.
